"Love it! Casey is great with the students

and really goes the extra mile to personalize the experience for the kids. My daughter loves the classes and practices at home and says she wants to be a champion like Casey!"

About Us

Our mission is #trainingchampions. As a competitive school, we focus on drawing the lessons learned through competition, rather than the results themselves. By shifting the focus to their own performance and what they can control, our dancers consistently exceed their own expectations.

Costello Irish Dance was founded in 2015 and we're the only Quebec school west of the island of Montreal to offer Irish dance lessons.  We pride ourselves on our custom programs that respond to the individual needs of the dancer. We keep our class sizes small with a maximum of 6 dancers registered in Pre-Bronze and 10 dancers in Bronze, Silver, and Gold. This allows us to tailor the experience. From the time an individual begins to learn Irish dance in our school and right up until their last competition, the focus is on refining the basic technique. This creates a strong foundation so that they can thrive as they continuously grow in this sport.

We are here for dancers and families who:

We are not here for dancers and families who:

  • Find more excuses to not practice than reasons to practice

  • Focus on the progress of others, rather than their own

  • Come to class for the water breaks

  • Gossip, complain, and/or bully

  • Thrive in a disciplined environment

  • Believe in competition

  • Focus on learning

  • Love to sweat

Casey Costello, TCRG and Champion Coach

Casey began his dance career over two decades ago. His passion for the sport brought him many successes, both within Irish dance and his own personal life. In solos, he won four Eastern Canadian Championship titles, placed 3rd in North America, and finished 8th in the World. In teams, he led his team to win fifteen Eastern Canadian Championship titles and to place 3rd at both the North American and World Championships.

From dance, he learned the importance of discipline and hard work. Before starting an Irish dance school, he finished university with a Master of Science in Carbohydrate Chemistry. He could never have done this without the lessons learned from Irish dance.

Casey founded Costello Irish Dance in September 2015 to share his passion with the next generation of competitors in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges area. By combining his creative training in dance, his formal education in science, and his respect for youthful ambition, Casey creates a well-rounded experience for every dancer in the school.

Our Coaches

Kevin Paquette, Assistant Coach

Kevin joined Costello Irish Dance after 11 years of competing with hopes of allowing others to experience life through dance as he has.  He found his niche at age 8 and quickly discovered that what he was learning would last a lifetime.  In solo competition, he placed 3rd in Eastern Canada, 15th in North America and 22nd at the World Championships; he was also part of 2 separate repeat Eastern Canadian Champion teams, one of which placed 5th in North America and the world.

After graduating high school with Gold Standing and CEGEP with Honour Roll, Kevin is now studying to teach secondary math and physics.  He would not have been able to achieve such a high standard without the dedication and work ethic he learned through dance.

For Kevin, retiring from competition was the beginning of a new chapter.  His love for the sport and passion for teaching add to his excitement about coaching at Costello Irish Dance alongside some of the best.

Our Students

“Happiness is the joy you feel while striving towards your potential.”

This Ancient Greek definition of happiness resonates with the vision of Costello Irish Dance. Our dancers are trained to see everything as an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve. We believe this sets them up to realize their potential, ultimately achieving the common goal we all share in life: happiness.

Our students learn the importance of discipline and hard work. Through this, they have competed in national, North American, and international championships and  have achieved the following:

  • 1st Place at 2019 Eastern Canadian Regional Team Championships - Under 10 6-Hand

  • 1st Place at 2019 Eastern Canadian Regional Team Championships - Under 12 6-Hand
